Yishun Technology was invited to attend the award ceremony for the "Indoor Air Quality Certification" launched by the Environmental Protection Bureau held at the Taipei City Government Building.
Mayor Jiang Wanan attended and delivered a speech. In addition to commending outstanding enterprises, institutions and manufacturers for their contribution to improving indoor air quality, he also announced that he would complete the certification of 1,115 public and private sites in the next three years.
Mayor Chiang Wan-an announced the launch of the Environmental Protection Bureau's Indoor Air Quality Site Certification Awards Ceremony. Taipei residents spend an average of 80% of their time indoors, making indoor air quality a significant concern for residents in office buildings, supermarkets, and medical facilities. With central government agencies recently citing the escalating pandemic, air quality requirements have become even more crucial. He expressed his gratitude to all the outstanding businesses, organizations, and manufacturers participating today. He stated that the Environmental Protection Bureau pioneered the Taipei City Indoor Air Quality Site Certification Program in March 2013, aiming to certify and grade the air quality of venues through relevant steps and procedures. A team of advisors provides free consultation and diagnosis at each venue, offering recommendations for air quality improvement measures. Certification is granted upon approval by the Environmental Protection Bureau after on-site inspections. To date, 219 institutions have applied, of which 135 have been certified by the Taipei City Government's Environmental Protection Bureau, including nursing homes and postpartum care facilities.
Chiang Wan-an stated that the city government has also begun certifying public facilities, starting with childcare centers, kindergartens, parent-child centers, nursing homes, and sports centers in all 12 districts. This ensures that citizens can breathe high-quality air in these indoor spaces, especially allowing children to grow up happily in a safe environment. He also thanked all participating companies and manufacturers of high-tech equipment, and expressed his hope that Taipei City will serve as a model for other areas. Over the next three years, the city government plans to complete certification for 1,115 public and private venues, ensuring that all indoor spaces in Taipei meet air quality standards in phases.
